Hi, I am Kimberly Crickette, and I am thrilled to be a part of the talented, passionate group of providers that makes up the re+active team! My passion for psychology began during my undergraduate experience at UCLA and continued to grow during my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine. Here, I worked as part of the Cedars Sinai Cancer Patient & Family Support Team, where I witnessed the benefits of holistic, integrated approaches to healthcare and the intersection between physical and mental health.

Throughout both my personal and professional journey, I’ve been consistently impressed by the resilience of the human spirit and the power of supportive relationships. As an associate marriage and family therapist, I have been relationally trained. In our sessions, I like to focus our work on 3 areas: relationship to yourself (including illness identity), relationship to others, & relationship to the world. I am incredibly passionate about collaborating with my clients to creatively find solutions that help them feel seen, heard, and that ultimately best meet their needs. I find it such an honor to be able to walk alongside individuals, providing support and tools to foster growth, resilience, and healing.

When I am not engaging with colleagues and clients, you most likely will find me snuggled in a cozy chair with one (or five!) delicious books, driving with the windows down and music up, breathing in the salty beach air, or trying to master a new skill (currently tennis).

I look forward to meeting you and becoming a part of your story!

Hi, I’m Ophelia!

I’m originally from The Bay Area in NorCal, but moved here to attend University of California, Irvine. I then stayed to live in SoCal after graduating due to falling in love with the area, and now I’m here!

Though I don’t offer physical therapy myself, I work with people who are totally ready to start their journey. As a care coordinator, I help them to take some of the first steps in creating a plan– transforming their hesitation into determination. I love being able to make their time at the clinic easier and welcoming however I can, even if with a simple phone call. Additionally, I’m currently trying to decide if I’d like to pursue occupational therapy or physical therapy! I earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, which I pursued due to my great interest in the intricacies of the human mind – particularly personality disorders – and its effects on the human body. I also have experience in working with disabled individuals and hope to continue working with them!

When I’m not scheduling appointments and calling clients, you can find me crocheting, thrifting, (badly) attempting recipes, or collecting sea glass to create original pieces of art! Three fun facts about me are: I’m trying to learn how to roller skate, I’ve performed in theatre, and I’m a big horror and anime fan. If you’re absolutely excited to dive into more, contact me! I can’t wait to meet you.

Hi, I’m Brittany and I am excited to meet you!

I serve people with neurologic diagnoses, chronic pain, and headaches who are looking for ways to recover their ability to do the things in life that mean the most to them. I want to listen to your story, create a game plan specific to your needs, and give you the tools that will help you get more out of life.

After I achieved my doctorate degree in physical therapy from USC, I wanted to learn more about how I could better help people with neurologic conditions have less pain and help people with chronic pain get control of their lives again. This led me to complete the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency at USC, which subsequently allowed me to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Additionally, through the residency program, I learned how to improve the lives of people with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (or jaw pain) and I developed a strong passion for treating people with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).

When I’m not at [re+active], I love to travel around the world with my husband, eat and cook delicious food, and spend time with loved ones (including my chubby gray cat).

Hi, I’m Amy, and I am so excited to meet you!

I serve people with neurologic diagnoses, rare diseases, and chronic conditions. I am passionate about helping people regain function and take control of their lives.

After graduating with my doctorate in physical therapy from Mount St. Mary’s University, I began working in acute rehabilitation, helping patients return home after their hospitalizations. I also served as adjunct faculty in the neuro curriculum at Mount St. Mary’s, and became a certified clinical instructor for PT students.

When my son was born in 2015, I learned first-hand about the unique challenges that stem from rare and chronic illnesses; my physical therapy practice has been enriched and guided by my experiences as a mother to a child with complex medical needs. Too often people with rare and chronic conditions are met with skepticism and a lack of support and knowledge from medical professionals.

I am truly honored to be a part of your healing journey and will work with you to develop a care plan with other knowledgeable professionals to foster your autonomy, independence, dignity, and improved quality of life.

When I’m not at [re+active], I can be found spending time with my family! I live in Torrance with my husband, son, and bernedoodle. You can often find us walking our dog at the beach and frequenting the local playgrounds in the South Bay. I love physical activity, and spend most of my free time running, swimming in the beautiful Pacific Ocean, and hiking. I also am a bibliophile, and can often be found with my nose in a book!

If you’re dying to know more, here are 3 things you don’t know about me…

  1. I am a writer and a speaker, with several articles and stories on rare diseases and parenting published online.

  2. I practice mindfulness meditation every day and keep a daily gratitude journal. I believe strongly in the positive roles gratitude and meditation play in our health and wellness.

  3. As a child, I learned how to read music before I learned to read words. I love to play my flute, jam on the ukulele, and sing whenever possible. In fact, you might even hear me singing during our physical therapy sessions!

I cannot wait to meet you and help you live your life in the way that is most meaningful to YOU!

Hi there! My name is Sophia. I am a fourth-year clinical psychology PsyD candidate with an emphasis in health psychology and I am thrilled to be completing my year-long clinical placement at re+active.

My passions all stem from the intersection of the mind-body connection and social justice. I love exploring the role of the nervous system in physical and mental health and engaging in research and advocacy work to address systemic barriers in healthcare settings - especially for people in larger bodies and the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent communities. My health psychology background centers on chronic pain, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, dysautonomia, long COVID, endocrine conditions, and functional disorders, with an emphasis on chronic medical conditions in the neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities.

At re+active, I provide psychotherapy, medical hypnotherapy for pain and gastrointestinal symptoms, psychoeducation, and neuropsychological assessment. I particularly enjoy helping people adjust to life with a chronic illness or disability, cultivate positive body image in the midst of changing physical abilities, and improve vagal tone for optimal symptom management. In therapy, I integrate approaches such as acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and relational-cultural therapy with somatic tools from my experience as a yoga teacher to help you connect with your values, build upon your strengths, and reach your therapeutic goals. My ultimate goal in both therapy and assessment is to create a collaborative, curious, safe environment for you to explore your identity, experiences, and path forward. I believe in an interdisciplinary approach to wellness and work with your physical and occupational therapists along the way to make sure you get the most holistic care possible.

Outside of my time at re+active, you can typically find me teaching yoga, sitting in any sunny patch of grass I can find, songwriting, spending time with my pets and partner, or attempting (not very successfully) to learn to surf. My heart has an eternal soft spot for Survivor, The Sims, and oddball ocean creatures. I look forward to being a part of your therapeutic journey!

Hi! I am Pearl Wongserbchart, and I am excited to be part of the re+active team! I am currently in my fourth year of the clinical psychology doctoral program at the Chicago School’s Los Angeles campus, with an emphasis in neuropsychology. My passion for neurology has been a central focus since my graduate studies at Pepperdine University, where I earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. At that time, I was working extensively with individuals living with memory impairment and dementia at OPICA Adult Day Care and Counseling Center.

I have worked in various clinical settings, including community mental health agencies and medical centers, serving children, older adults, and their families. I provided assessments and therapeutic services for neurodivergent individuals and those with chronic illnesses. While I have gained experience with diverse populations, I found a special connection in working with both pediatric and geriatric populations.

At re+active, I provide services including psychotherapy, cognitive rehabilitation, psychoeducation, and neuropsychological assessments. I particularly enjoy working with children and older adults, as well as collaborating with families. In therapy, I draw on empirically supported treatments such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy to help individuals adjust to life changes. I emphasize a person-centered, strength-based, and holistic approach to care, valuing diversity and individual uniqueness as key aspects of the therapeutic relationship.

With a personal interest in the arts and training in expressive art and play therapy, I enjoy integrating creativity into therapy sessions. Art can be a powerful tool for fostering a sense of safety and self-compassion, allowing you to explore emotions and develop coping strategies for life’s challenges. My goal is to promote a trusting, supportive, and collaborative environment throughout your therapeutic journey.

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family and puppy. I love hiking, swimming, playing tennis, walking my dog, and exploring new cuisines. I also enjoy dedicating time to arts and crafts, always excited to experiment with new materials.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a proud mother of two girls and a wife, balancing work and family with a love for fitness. When I’m not training clients, you’ll find me rock climbing, trail running, power lifting, or cheering on my kids as a soccer mom!

I believe in the power of movement to transform lives, and I’m always excited to help others achieve their personal goals.
